I am a writer, academic and public speaker whose work explores culture, modernity, spirituality and contemporary social issues. My writing has appeared in major Australian publications including the Australian Financial Review, ABC Religion & Ethics andThe Australian, as well as Eureka Street and Pearls & Irritations. My public speaking includes an Easter address at St Paul's Cathedral for Melbourne Grammar School, my Spiritual Sociology podcast, and appearances on ABC Radio National.

My academic publications include a book, peer-reviewed journal articles and a book chapter. I teach at the University of Melbourne, where I recently received a Teaching Excellence Award, and at La Trobe University. I am currently working on a book exploring culture, consciousness and artificial intelligence.
